NexGard For Dogs Blue Small 4.1-10kg

Suitable for dogs and puppies from 8 weeks of age and over 2 kg in body weight

Indications: Nexgard rapidly kills adult fleas and is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea (ctenocephalides spp.) infestations for 5 weeks (35 days), for the control of newly acquired adult fleas and for the control of flea allergy dermatitis. Following administration, fleas are killed within 6-8 hours. Rapid onset of action kills newly acquired fleas before they can lay eggs. Fleas can transmit tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum). Effective flea control with Nexgard prevents flea tapeworm infestation in dogs. Nexgard treats and controls paralysis ticks (Ixodes holocyclus), Brown Dog Ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus) and bush ticks (Haemaphysalis longicomis) for 5 weeks (35 days). Nexgard provides effective control of pre-existing paralysis tick infestations within 24 hours. Ixodes holocyclus ticks do not occur in Western Australia. In tick season, daily searching for and removal of any ticks is recommended. Nexgard treats and controls demodectic mange caused by Sarcoptes scabei and ear mite (Otodectes cynotis) infestations.

• Afoxolaner 28.3mg

Indications

For the Treatment and Prevention of flea infestations and Control of ticks and mites

• Kills adult fleas and controls Flea Allergy Dermatitis
• Treats and controls ticks, mange, and mites
• Prevents flea tapeworm infestations
• A soft and readily eaten monthly chew, made with soy protein and braised beef flavouring
• A single dose remains effective for a full month after administration
• Rapidly absorbed (within 6 hours of dosing) into the dog’s blood stream

Flea Control

• Kills adult fleas within 6-8 hours after dosing
• Rapid onset of action kills newly acquired fleas before they can lay eggs
• To minimise the likelihood of flea reinfestation: In areas where fleas are known to be present, monthly treatment should continue throughout the year without interruption, and all animals in the household should be treated with an approved flea control product.

Flea Tapeworm Control

• If fleas are not controlled, they can transmit flea tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum)
• Effective flea control will prevent flea infestation

Tick Control

• Treats and Controls Paralysis ticks (Ixodes holocyclus), Brown Dog ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus) and Bush ticks (Haemaphysalis longicomis) for one month
• Controls pre-existing Paralysis tick infestations within 24 hours
• Dosing for tick prevention should commence before the dog is exposed to ticks
• In areas where ticks are known to be present, monthly treatment should continue throughout the year without interruption
• For optimal tick control use this product in conjunction with daily searching and removal of ticks

Mange Control

• Treats and control demodectic mange caused by Demodex spp., sarcoptic mange caused by Sarcoptes scabiei and ear mite (Otodectes cynotis) infestations

Precautions: 

• Safe use of NexGard in breeding males and females or pregnant and lactating bitches has not been evaluated
• Not for use in puppies less than 8 weeks of age or less than 2 kg body weight
